A Vision for Community: Your Role on the EKVC Board

Imagine stepping into a role with the EKVC Board, where your passions and strengths can truly make a difference. As a new board member, you embark on a one-year trial term that allows you to explore various activities and roles that resonate with you.

Picture yourself at the first board meeting, filled with enthusiastic members eager to shape the future of volleyball in the East Kootenays. Instead of being assigned a specific role right away, you have the freedom to discover where you can contribute best—whether it's organizing events, promoting youth programs, or fostering community outreach.

As you engage with the team, you realize that your involvement is not just about attending meetings; it's about building connections that create a welcoming environment for players and their families. You have the opportunity to lead initiatives that cultivate inclusivity, making volleyball accessible to all ages and skill levels. Each idea you share is valued, and your efforts contribute to a vibrant community where relationships flourish.

You take pride in guiding committees, making decisions that positively impact countless players and families. With your commitment to staying engaged and ensuring you're a member in good standing, you help mold the future of the club. As the community witnesses the fruits of your collective efforts—new players joining, friendships forming, and families coming together—your heart swells with pride.

This is your opportunity to be part of something greater, to shape the EKVC into a strong volleyball community. Together with your fellow board members, you're creating a lasting legacy of passion, growth, unity, and connection in the world of volleyball.

A director must be an individual who is at least 18 years of age, is a member in good standing with EKVC (all fees are paid and current) and who has confirmed his or her willingness to serve as a Director.
