Board members of EKVC enjoy a trial term of one year, during which they have the flexibility to explore various roles and choose activities that align with their passions and strengths. Unlike traditional approaches that require members to assume specific roles upon joining the board, our trial period encourages individuals to find the best fit for their skills and interests. This approach not only promotes a dynamic and adaptable board but also allows members to contribute meaningfully to the organization while engaging in activities they genuinely love. By fostering a culture of exploration and personal choice, we believe our board members can maximize their impact and find fulfilling ways to support our mission of a strong volleyball community in the East Kootenays.

A director must be an individual who is at least 18 years of age, is a member in good standing with EKVC (all fees are paid and current) and who has confirmed his or her willingness to serve as a Director.

Directors at Large act as the heads of the committees (see volunteer) and report back to the Executive at the monthly board meetings. 

As per the Societies Act of BC, EKVC is required to send out information about the election of board members. Information posted on the website and via email.
