EKVC Scholarship Information
Each year the EKVC offers a scholarship to two male and two female athletes
who have significantly contributed to the success of the EKVC and who are
attending a post-secondary institution as a full-time student athlete in the
sport of volleyball.
2012-13 Scholarship Application Information

2011-12 Recipients
The club would like to congratulate the 2011-12
scholarship recipients:
Scott Kemperman (Cranbrook), Victoria McArthur (Elkford),
Brianne Rauch (Kimberley),
Stefanie Schoenberger (Cranbrook) and Julie-Ann Sternig (Cranbrook).

Scott Kemperman:
Scott played for the EKVC for four years and was part of the Mount Baker
teams for three years. After graduating from Mount Baker in 2010 he
enrolled at the College of the Rockies where he took university transfer
courses while playing for the Avalanche. Scott is currently back at the
College where he is once again playing for the Avalanche and is taking
second year sciences. He is planning to transfer to university in
Kelowna or Vancouver to pursue medical school or a teaching degree.

Victoria McArthur:
Victoria played three seasons with the EKVC during which she traveled
from Elkford to Cranbrook for weekly practices. She also played for the
Elkford Secondary School team and inspired others from the Elk Valley to
join club volleyball. Victoria is currently playing volleyball for
Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, NS where she pursuing a
Bachelor of Science degree.

Brianne Rauch:
Brianne began playing volleyball with the EKVC when she was 13 years
old and played for five years. She also played for Team BC for two
years, was active in school volleyball playing for the Selkirk Storm,
and coached several Kimberley teams. Brianne is now playing volleyball
for Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, BC where she is working
towards a degree in Education. |

Stefanie Schoenberger:
Stefanie began playing volleyball at a very young age. She was part of
many EKVC teams during her five years with the club and continued her
involvement by coaching last season. She is currently in her second
year of studies at the College of the Rockies where she is a member of
the COTR Women’s Avalanche volleyball team and is taking university
transfer science courses. Stefanie plans to transfer to university
where she will pursue a degree in Biology. |

Julie-Ann Sternig:
Julie-Ann started playing with EKVC when she was 13 years old and played
a total of three seasons with the club. She also played on school
volleyball teams throughout middle school and high school. Julie-Ann is
currently enrolled at the College of the Rockies working towards a
Bachelor of Science degree where she is the setter for the COTR Women’s
Avalanche volleyball team. |
